Questions people ask
Is there a free alternative to paid home inspection report software?
This tool builds a printable report from a library of editable comments with no account and no subscription. It does not replace a full inspection platform with photos, scheduling and agreements, but it covers the core job of turning your findings into a clear, severity-sorted report.
Where does my data go?
Nowhere. Everything stays in your browser. Save your report to a file on your own device and load it later; the page does not store it for you.
Does the comment library follow a standard of practice?
No. The wording is generic and is a starting point for you to edit. It does not cite or apply any code, standard of practice or licensing rule. You decide what to report and how, and you are responsible for the final report.
Can I add my own comments?
Yes. Add a custom finding with your own title, wording, severity and recommendation, or edit any library comment after adding it.
Not decided
What a home inspection must cover, which standard of practice or licensing rules apply where you work, what is a defect at a particular property, repair costs (the ranges are your own figures, not a measurement), and the legal wording of your inspection agreement. The library is generic starting text, not a statement of any standard.
