Your crew hourly wage and target net margin are the same on every job you bid. Save them once and every trade bid calculator here opens with your numbers instead of a stranger’s ballpark.
This tool has no separate payroll-burden field and prices office research and drafting time as their own hourly rates rather than a percentage of direct cost, so your saved burden and overhead rates are left alone here.
Kept in this browser only, on this site’s own storage. Nothing is uploaded, and clearing your browser data clears it. Forgetting them leaves the numbers already on this bid alone.
Keep this bid so it is still here when the customer calls back. Every number on this form is saved together, under a name you choose, along with the figure it gave you, and restoring one puts the whole job back exactly as you priced it. Mark each one won or lost when you hear — the ones you have not heard back on stay listed as waiting, with how long they have been out. Once a few have come back, this panel says how long yours actually take, and how many are still out past that. Once enough of them have been decided, it also says whether the bids you save here have been landing differently lately than they used to.

FOR INDEPENDENT LICENSED LAND SURVEYORS
Price the job by what actually drives the hours.
A flat per-acre rate doesn't see corner count, whether a corner has to be found or set from scratch, or how much the title chain needs researched. This free calculator prices a boundary, topographic, or ALTA/NSPS survey from those numbers instead — then shows exactly how far off a per-acre quote would have been on the same job.

Gap
This is a pricing worksheet from the numbers you typed, not an audited estimate, a legal boundary determination, or a check against any state's minimum technical standards.
Hand the customer a proposal
The price above is for you. This is the page you print or save as a PDF and give to the customer — your details, their details, the scope, the deposit split, and a line for them to sign. Your business details are saved on this device so you only type them once; the customer’s details are never saved.
Everything on the printed page is text you typed or a number this calculator worked out. It contains no warranty, lien, or cancellation wording — those depend on your jurisdiction and your contract, and this tool is not the place to invent them.
Private by default
Everything on this page runs in your browser and nothing is ever uploaded. There is no account and no server-side storage of any kind — your parcel details, corner counts, rates, and price are never saved or sent anywhere, and refreshing the page clears them by design. We count only anonymous local feature events (quote_calculated, reset, sponsor_link_clicked) so we can tell whether the calculator gets used — no parcel, price, or client figures are recorded, and Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control turn it off automatically.
Common questions
Is this a legal boundary determination or a substitute for my professional judgment?
No. This is a pricing worksheet only. It does not perform a legal boundary determination, does not check any state's minimum technical standards, and does not replace your own professional judgment about scope, liability, or errors-and-omissions coverage on a given job.
Why does the calculator separate corners to locate from corners to set?
Locating an existing, recoverable monument is a confirmation against a physical marker. Setting a corner with no recoverable monument means resolving the position from the deed and record research and then running and holding a traverse to it with nothing to check it against on the ground — field time this calculator prices noticeably higher per corner, because it usually is.
Why not just quote per acre like most of the trade does?
Acreage does not see corner count, whether corners must be set or just located, or how tangled the title chain is. A small parcel with several lost corners and a messy deed history can cost more to survey than a large, clean, open one — so a flat per-acre number gets one of them wrong. The comparison panel below shows the gap on the job you just priced.
Does anything about my job or client get uploaded?
No. Every number on this page runs in your browser only. Nothing is sent to a server, there is no account, and no parcel address, client name, or price is ever saved or transmitted. Usage counting only tallies anonymous feature events, and you can turn it off below.
What if I don't know the exact corner count or research hours before I bid?
Use your best estimate from the plat, prior surveys of adjoining parcels, or a quick record-search pass before quoting — the same way you would size up any job. This tool prices the numbers you enter; it does not verify them against the deed itself.
Pricing an aerial mapping or photogrammetry flight instead of ground retracement work? The drone mapping job calculator prices a Part 107 pilot's flight time, overlap settings, and processing hours for the same "survey" job from the air.
