TURO EARNINGS REPORT ANALYZER · RUNS IN YOUR BROWSER · NOTHING UPLOADED

Which of your Turo cars actually makes money?

Drop in your Turo earnings or trip history CSV and get profit per car and per trip after Turo's fee, your cleaning, fuel and delivery costs, and each car's monthly loan, insurance and depreciation, with utilization, revenue per rented day and the cars losing money.

The file is read in this browser tab and never leaves your device. Independent of Turo: not affiliated with or endorsed by Turo Inc. Column names are matched by alias from memory of Turo exports; if yours is not read, the page tells you which rows were skipped and why.

1. Your earnings file

Needs a Trip start date and an amount: Earnings (what Turo paid you) and/or Trip price. Used when present: Vehicle (or Year, Make, Model), Trip end, Trip days, Status (cancelled trips are handled), Turo fee, and Cleaning cost, Fuel cost, Delivery cost columns. US and day-first dates, comma, tab and semicolon files, quoted fields and UTF-16 exports are read. Rows that cannot be read are listed with a line number and reason.

2. Your costs

Per-trip costs apply to every completed trip unless the file has its own cost column with a value for that trip. Monthly costs are charged for each car for every month in the period, so an idle car still pays them.

A line replaces the three monthly figures above for that car. The name can be part of the vehicle name in the file (“Civic” matches “2021 Honda Civic”); leave commas out of names. The optional third number is how many months the car was yours in the period.

Common questions

How do I know which of my Turo cars actually makes money?

Export your earnings or trip history from Turo (or keep a sheet with a vehicle, trip start and end, status, trip price and earnings) and drop it here. The tool takes what Turo paid you on each trip, subtracts the cleaning, fuel and delivery cost you enter, then subtracts each car's monthly loan, insurance and depreciation for the months in the period. What is left is that car's net, shown with its utilization and net per rented day. Nothing is uploaded; the file is read in your browser.

What is utilization and why does it matter?

Utilization is rented days divided by days in the period. A car with a high daily rate can still lose money if it sits idle most of the month, because loan, insurance and depreciation are charged whether or not it is rented. The tool also shows the utilization each car needs to break even at the contribution per day it actually earned.

Does the tool know Turo's fee?

Only what your file says. If the file has a Turo fee column, or both a trip price and your earnings, the fee is read from it. If it has only a trip price, the tool applies the fee percentage you enter (default 25%) and says so. Turo's share depends on your plan and how far ahead the guest booked, so check the figure against your own Host Hub.

How are cancelled trips handled?

A cancelled trip with no payout is left out and counted. A cancelled trip that paid you something, such as a cancellation fee, counts as revenue with no rented days and no cleaning, fuel or delivery cost.

Are the column names right for my export?

They are matched by alias from memory of Turo exports, and no real export was available when this was built. If your file is not read, the page names the rows it skipped and why; a sheet with the headers Vehicle, Trip start, Trip end, Status, Trip price and Earnings always works.

Is this tax or financial advice?

No. It applies arithmetic to the file and the costs you type and does not replace your own judgement or a qualified tax or insurance adviser. It is independent of Turo and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Turo Inc.
