EBAY TRANSACTION REPORT ANALYZER · RUNS IN YOUR BROWSER · NOTHING UPLOADED

Which of your eBay items actually make money?

Drop in your Seller Hub Transaction report and get the fee waterfall (final value fees, Promoted Listings, international, listing, refunds, shipping labels) and profit per item once you enter what each one cost you. Then see which fees, ads, refunds and under-charged shipping are eating the margin.

The file is read in this browser tab and never leaves your device. Order numbers and item titles in it are not sent anywhere.

1. Your Transaction report

Seller Hub → Reports → Downloads → Transaction report (choose the period, download the CSV). The few lines of report metadata above the column headings are fine; the tool finds the header row itself.

Choose a report file or paste its text, then click Analyze. You can type costs in the table afterwards.

Common questions

Can I see profit per item from my eBay Transaction report without paying for a tool?

Yes. In Seller Hub go to Reports → Downloads, create a Transaction report for the period you want, download the CSV and drop it in here. Type what each item cost you and the tool splits every order's sale, fees, label, refund and Promoted Listings charge across the items in it. Nothing is uploaded.

Why is my eBay fee rate higher than the category percentage?

eBay charges its final value fee on the item price plus shipping (and sales tax in states where eBay collects it), then adds a fixed per-order fee of $0.30 or $0.40. Promoted Listings, international fees and any performance fees stack on top. The tool adds them up from your own rows and shows each as a share of what buyers paid.

Where does the tool get the cost of what I sold?

From you. The Transaction report has no purchase cost. Type a unit cost next to each item, or paste lines like the item title, a custom label or an item number followed by a comma and the cost. Items without a cost are left out of profit rather than counted as free.

How does it treat shipping labels?

Buyers pay shipping and you spend it on labels, so labels are kept out of the fee rate. The report compares shipping charged to label cost and flags a gap, because free or under-charged shipping is one of the quiet ways a listing turns unprofitable.

What does the tool not see?

Your time, sourcing costs you have not entered, packaging, income tax, labels bought outside eBay, currency conversion differences and sales elsewhere. Rows it does not recognise go to an “other” line so they stay visible.

Is this financial or tax advice?

No. It applies arithmetic to the file you provide and does not replace your own records or a qualified accountant.
