Should I run Faire Promoted Listings?

Brands search this when Faire offers an extra percent on billed first orders in exchange for more retailers finding the line. The listing’s Promoted listings (%) field only taxes one already-won invoice. It cannot show last-click organic or extra first orders. This page is not Open House (a seasonal 0% window) and not Faire Direct (you brought the account).

On the default $20 × 10 first order, four organic opening orders keep $303.60 with ads off. A 15% campaign that last-clicks 40% of those organic orders and adds one extra first order keeps $301.50 (−$2.10). Ads match if the rate falls to about 14.6%, extra first orders rise to about 1.0, or last-click organic falls to about 38.3%. Two extra first orders flip the campaign to $347.40 (+$43.80). A 10% rate on the same extra order keeps $327.50. A 22% campaign that last-clicks 55% and adds two extra orders keeps $270.60.

Campaign Rate Extra orders Campaign leftover vs skip

Window leftover multiplies organic first-order leftover by the organic count, then taxes last-click organic and adds extra first orders at the campaign rate — counts you type, not a forecast that the campaign will produce them. Complementary to Open House (seasonal 0% commission) and to Faire Direct (you brought the account). Paste the promoted rate and attributed orders from the campaign preview on your account. This page does not publish Faire’s live Promoted Listings schedule.

The calculator is arithmetic, not advice. It does not recommend turning a campaign on, raising the bid, or skipping ads.

Common questions

Should I run Faire Promoted Listings?

On the calculator defaults — four organic $20 × 10 first orders, one extra first order, a 15% promoted rate, and 40% last-click attribution on organic — skipping the campaign keeps $303.60 and running it keeps $301.50 (−$2.10). Ads match if the rate falls to about 14.6%, extra first orders rise to about 1.0, or last-click attribution on organic falls to about 38.3%. Two extra first orders flip the campaign to $347.40 (+$43.80). A 10% rate on the same extra order keeps $327.50. This page does the arithmetic from the rates you enter; it does not recommend turning a campaign on.

Is Faire Promoted Listings the same as Faire Open House?

No. Open House is a seasonal window when Faire typically waives marketplace commission and retailers expect a deeper opening discount. Promoted Listings is an extra percent on last-click billed first orders — including organic orders the campaign claims — in exchange for extra first orders you type. Faire Direct is a third path: 0% commission when you brought the retailer. This page holds those off the table so the comparison stays skip-versus-campaign.

When does a Faire Promoted Listings campaign still beat skipping ads?

When extra first orders cover the last-click tax on organic. On these defaults one extra order at 15% and 40% attribution loses $2.10 against skip. The campaign matches if the rate falls to about 14.6% or last-click organic falls to about 38.3%. Two extra first orders flip ahead by $43.80.
